WHAT IS THE ACF OF FLORIDA?
The Alexander Christian Foundation of Florida provides scholarships to young people from Florida Christian Churches who desire to enter a church related vocation; and since 1989, the ACF has given more than $300,000 in scholarships to students.
The ACF of Florida is governed by a board of directors comprised of ministers, business people, and others from all walks of life. They are not compensated for their efforts, but simply desire to encourage and assist students enter the field of service to the Lord Jesus Christ.
WHAT ARE ITS GOALS?
To enable these students to enter the field of service, we are planning to do the following:
· Increase financial participation of churches throughout Florida.
· Increase the amount of scholarship awards.
· Increase the number of scholarship requests and the number of awards.
· Establish enough endowments to provide continuous income to fund the majority of future scholarships awarded.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY COME FROM?
The funds that provide scholarships come from individual donors, churches, businesses, and investment income from amounts set aside for endowments in the name of the donor.
Gifts in any amount are fully tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Contributions of stocks, mutual funds that have appreciated in value, placing the ACF of Florida in your will or trust, or having the ACF of Florida in your church missions budget are other ways to give.
An endowment can be established with a minimum gift of $20,000. This endowment will be place in a trust and the interest will perpetually provide scholarship assistance for students. If you are interested in establishing an endowment, please contact the ACF at info@acfflorida.com or mail your inquiry to:
